I have a question for you. If you stop working, will your business stop working too?
That's what you and I are going to be discussing today. If you're dealing with anything difficult in your personal life right now, and you're trying to keep your business afloat (while slowly dying inside), this is for you.
Whether you’re dealing with heartbreak, grief, or illness while running your business, whatever you are going through, my heart goes out to you and I really hope that this helps you.
There's a time to work hard at your business, and there’s a time to work on yourself and on healing yourself. I want to make sure that if/when hard times come for you, whether that is now or in the future, your business can survive without you being so hands-on.
I want you to be able to look after yourself and still come back to a functioning, profitable business.
In this blog, I'm getting a little bit vulnerable again and sharing something hard that I've been through lately. Plus, my top five tips on how to keep your business blooming even through the tough times.
I think that this is something that most online business owners just don't talk about.
I find that in the online business space, we're always talking about business, right?
We’re so focused on business and talking business, we tend to forget that we are all humans with lives outside of our businesses.
Behind the businesses, we are humans with human problems and human difficulties!
What most entrepreneurs post on social media is not necessarily telling the entire picture of their lives: just the best parts. We see business owners posting about six figure launches, exciting client wins, exciting New Year goals, but rarely see the flip side of their lives:
The messy divorce
The difficult marriage
The illness
The sleepless nights with a newborn
The breakup
The loneliness
The tiredness
The stress
Let’s break that silence in todays episode.
There are some seasons of life where it's easier to work and it's easier to grow your business than other seasons. And today, I want to talk about those seasons where things are tough personally and you need to take a step back from your business.
In this episode, you’ll learn…
How to effectively manage your business when your personal life is taking up so much of your mental and emotional energy.
The breakup I went through this year and how I dealt with that while still running a business and bringing in money (even though all I wanted to do was stay in bed all day and watch TV.)
5 ways to trauma-proof your business now so that you can take breaks without your business falling apart.
